IVI’s 21st International Vaccinology Course to be held in Seoul, South Korea 26-30th September 2022

This year the annual Vaccinology course hosted by IVI will be in person and is a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments in vaccinology. A fellowship programme is available and applications need to be submitted by 13th June 11.59 KST for a fellowship which is available for those from low and middle income countries to apply for. The five-day course provides a comprehensive overview of vaccinology with a focus on practicality. Beginning with a refresher in epidemiology and immunology, the course moves through the vaccine development spectrum from applied topics in discovery to development to delivery.

The course is a combination of lectures and interactive case studies presented and facilitated by experts from academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations.  Previous lecturers have included those from the World Health Organization, icddr,b, U.S. National Institutes of Health, GSK, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Gavi, Johns Hopkins University, Seoul National University, and IVI.
